Adrian Salinero is a London-based Basque Spanish pianist, versatile in his roles as repetiteur, vocal collaborator, music director, and piano teacher. His recent operatic engagements include Maria de Rudenz (Donizetti) with Gothic Opera, Acis and Galatea (Handel) with Opera Holland Park, Two Widows (Smetana) with Birmingham Opera Company and the world premieres of Masque of Vengeance and The Duchess of Padua by Edward Lambert.

Adrian has previously worked for St Paul’s Opera as Music Director for their production of Little Red Riding Hood (César Cui) and will return to the company in the same role for their summer 2025 production of L’Elisir d’Amore (Donizetti). Additionally, he will make his debut as repetiteur at Grange Park Opera for their production of Simon Boccanegra (Verdi) in spring of 2025.

As a 2022/2023 Young Artist at the National Opera Studio, Adrian worked numerous residencies with Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Scottish Opera and English National Opera as well as having his debut performance at Wigmore Hall.

Coaching

During his years at the National Opera Studio, previous studies and professional experience, Adrian has developed a keen ear and passion for helping singers. He has a deep understanding of standard repertoire and styles, allowing him to work with singers on their interpretation and awareness of a piece. He is also passionate about discovering new pieces with singers and helping them learn the piece to the depth of understanding necessary for the best performance.

Teaching

Adrian has enjoyed teaching students of piano since 2015. He takes pleasure in working with students of all ages and levels. Aside from his love of teaching and sharing knowledge in itself, Adrian believes that teaching also allows him to reflect on his own technique; keeping it fresh and polished while learning how to articulate his musical ideas more clearly.
